Being the Ruler

Being the Ruler is an activity that lets players imagine themselves being a different character. Through this role play, players are encouraged to use certain traits and pursue tasks that in their normal selves they would normally not show or do.


Being a hero includes characteristics such as

  • helping others (altruistic)
  • commanding large forces
  • being admired
  • being feared
  • taking tough decisions under time-pressure

Being the ruler appeals to the players' desires for romance, power, status, vengeance, and independence.
